A place built for connection
Hi! We are Erin & Kerri, a mother/daughter duo with a passion for community. We love live music, beach reads, and thoughtful conversation over a glass of wine.
Meet Erin
Erin grew up in Fort Myers doing community theatre and spending as much time at the beach with her friends as possible. She is now a member of CFCArts Choir and a Vice President at Aspire Health Partners.
Erin’s passion has always been making a difference in her community, with a focus on connecting people to needed behavioral health services. Throughout her career in behavioral health treatment, Erin has found that connection to community, friendships, music, and art is equally valuable for the human soul. Her wish for Darcy’s is to create a space where others can find this connection.
Meet Kerri
Kerri grew up here in Central Florida participating in community orchestras and choirs and playing gigs with her band. She attended Berklee College of Music in Boston to study writing and production.
In both Boston and Nashville, Kerri worked in live music and events as a booking manager, performer, and in various other roles. As a musician, writer, reader, painter, and all-around creative, Kerri wants to build a career that supports and prioritizes creatives. Her wish for Darcy’s is to do just that.
The Story Behind Darcy’s
Owning a bookstore and music venue was always a pipe dream for us, but we didn’t have the courage to take the leap. After a challenging year, we found ourselves floating around in a Daytona Shores pool, reassessing what actually matters to us.
In that moment, we recognized our growth, resilience, and aspiration to build something that brings us joy and uplifts our community. We decided to go for it and name it after the most resilient woman we knew: Darcy, our mom and Grammy, who passed away in 2020. It felt like the perfect way to honor her. She would spend hours and hours talking with us, inspiring us to be the best versions of ourselves and always seeing us fully.
And so, we bring to you Darcy’s Books & Cafe: a place where you can be the best version of yourself, connect with others, learn, create, and dream.

Our mission is to create a welcoming community space where creativity, connection, music, literature, and wellness come together to enrich everyday life.
Our Promise
Our vision is to become Maitland’s most beloved creative gathering space — a place where people come not only for coffee and books, but for belonging, inspiration, and human connection.
Our Community
We intend to support the community by partnering with local charities and making donations that promote literacy, music, mental wellness, and access to enriching experiences for people of all ages.
